Wame Hambira
Prof. Wame Lucretia Hambira is an Associate Professor in Environmental Management at the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources in Botswana. Her research is in the area of environmental management with a particular interest in global environmental change and how it affects livelihoods and the economy, particularly the tourism sector. Prof Hambira’s work also includes identifying potential response trajectories that inform policy in line with the global sustainability agenda and the green economy. Her teaching fields include courses in environmental assessments as well as environmental policy and regulation. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Oulu, Finland, and an MSc in Environmental Economics from the University of York (UK).
