Darja Žgur Bertok
Darja Žgur Bertok, PhD, is a professor of Molecular biology at the Biotechnical faculty, University of Ljubljana. She studied Biology and defended her PhD thesis at the University of Ljubljana. She teaches courses on bacterial genetics, bacterial pathogenesis, molecular microbiology and genomics. She was a visiting professor at University of Graz, Austria, Utrecht University, The Netherlands and the Ben Gurion University, Israel. Her research interests include regulation of gene expression, mobile genetic elements, virulence factors, particularly genotoxins and bacteriocins.
