Prof. Chang-Jiang Zhang (Ph.D from Beijing Institute of Technology) is currently Professor at the College of Mathematics, Physics and Information Engineering, Zhejiang Normal University, Jinhua, China. Prof. Zhang’s research focuses on numerical analysis on atmospheric systems with machine learning. He has published more than 80 papers that regard engineering applications of artificial intelligence, typhoon intensity estimation with machine learning and retrieval of meteorological fields with satellite data. His current research projects pertain to develop numerical algorithms in high precision for retrieval of typhoon structure, intensity and location, which can be used in enhancing numerical weather prediction and analysis. He is a member of Chinese Image and Graphics Society, and Chinese Meteorological Society.
