Dr. Raveendranathan K C
Prof.K.C.Raveendranathan obtained his B.Sc.(Engg.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from University of Kerala, M.E. in Electrical Communication from IISc Bangalore. His Ph.D. thesis is on Neuro-Fuzzy Controller for Mobile Cellular Channel Equalizers in the Computer Science and Engineering stream at University of Kerala. He worked in Bharath Electronics Limited (BEL) Bangalore till June 1988 in the Broadcast Transmitters R&D group. He was given an award by the management for suggesting a new corporate motto: â€œQuality, Technology, Innovationâ€ for BEL. He joined the College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram in 1988 as Lecturer, promoted as Assistant Professor in 1994 and Professor in 2001. He was on deputation to the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT) Thiruvananthapuram, during 1989-1990. He is now working as a Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering in Government Engineering College Bartonhill, Thiruvananthapuram. Prof. Raveendranathan has over 22 years of teaching experience in various reputed Government Engineering Colleges in the state of Kerala. He has published over 16 papers and authored four text books. He had guided several UG/PG projects. He had coordinated an AICTE funded project in the department for the Modernization of Microprocessor Lab Incorporating VLSI and Embedded Systems. His research interests include Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Communications, Fuzzy Systems, Next Generation Computing and Simulation Techniques. He is a reviewer for AMSE Journal and the Else Vier Journal on Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation. He is a life member of ISTE and IRSS, Life Fellow of IETE & IE (India), and a senior member of IEEE. He acted as Student Activities Chair (SAC) of IEEE Kerala Section during 1998-1999. Currently, he is volunteering as the Educational Activities Chair (EAC) of IEEE Kerala Section. He was the acting Principal of Government Engineering Colleges Wayanad and Bartonhill for 7 tenures.
