Samira Enajjar

Dr. Samira Enajjar is a marine biologist researcher in the Marine Biodiversity Laboratory of the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Technologies (INSTM), Tunisia. Since 2000, she has been conducting research on biodiversity, fishery, and the taxonomy of elasmobranchs, mainly in rays. She obtained her Ph.D. with work on the biology and the ecology of the Rhinobatids. She is a member of the Med Bycatch Project as an expert on marine vulnerable species: Elasmobranchs, Sea turtles, and Cetaceans. Dr. Enajjar contributed to the elaboration of vulnerable marine vertebrate training guides and she is regularly engaged in training courses related to the taxonomy of rays at national and regional levels. She is also active in the national sea turtle and cetacean stranding network in Tunisia.
