Dr. Justice Opara-Martins FHEA is a Research Fellow in Computing and Informatics Research Centre (CIRC) at Bournemouth University, United Kingdom. His research interests include cloud computing, virtualization, ICT systems and Big Data – with an emphasis on the operations management (incl. Internet and mobile cloud apps.) aspects. In Bournemouth University, Dr. Opara-Martins has made great progress in studying the vendor lock-in problem affecting enterprise decisions for/against cloud application adoption and migration. Recently, his group revealed a novel holistic decision framework for cloud migration and discovered the six core steps to avoiding vendor lock-in risks in cloud migration. His studies and research discoveries will provide senior IT professionals, decision-makers and solution architects within major enterprises with new insights into how to effectively tackle the latest migration challenges caused by the cloud lock-in problem. Dr. Justice holds a B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) from Southampton Solent University (UK), a M.Sc. in the field of computer science and communication networks, an MPhil in Wireless and Mobile Cloud Networks, and a Ph.D. in Cloud Computing from Bournemouth University (UK), respectively. He has authored and co-authored several scientific publications in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals, books & conference proceedings in the areas of cloud computing adoption barriers and enterprise information systems management. He currently serves as a reviewer for the widely read journal, Springer Journal of Cloud Computing.
