Angel Barriga Barros is full professor at University of Seville and senior researcher at the Institute of Microelectronics of Seville, National Microelectronics Center CSIC, Spanish Research Council. He received a degree in Physics from the University of Sevilla in 1984, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Sevilla in 1989. Since1984 he was been with the Department of Electronics and Electromagnetism at the University of Sevilla. He is member of EUSFLAT and the IEEE CIS (Computational Intelligence Society). He is the principal researcher of the ‘Digital and Mixed Signal Integrated Circuit Design Group’. His main research interests are the design of CAD tools for fuzzy logic based systems, digital circuits for soft computing, ASIC and FPGA embedded system design, digital systems dynamic behavior modeling, and design of CMOS VLSI circuits for a number of fields, including image processing and controller circuit design. He is co-authored of two books, ten book chapters, and near 200 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences.
