Tamás Bányai received his Masters degree in 1993 and his PhD degree in 1999 from the University of Miskolc, where he is currently working as associate professor. He has more than 25 years of teaching and research experience in the design and control of materials handling systems and supply chain management, with special emphasis in heuristic optimization of large-scale systems. He has published over 150 research papers, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He has been a member and manager of more than 50 national and international research and development projects. Away from academia, his other interests include playing the piano and taking photographs.
