University College Dublin

Dr. Linh Truong-Hong is a senior researcher at School of Civil Engineering, University College Dublin (UCD). After obtaining PhD in 2011, he spent 1.5 years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Dublin Institute of Technology. In 2013, he returned UCD as a research scientist to be the LiDAR group leader for European Research Council project. In 2016, Dr. Truong-Hong was a visiting scholar at TU Delft Department of Geosciences and Remote Sensing to investigate remote sensing techniques for infrastructure monitoring and assessment, where he will start to his Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship in Jan 2019. His research interests are to develop integrated framework to deploy remote sensing techniques (e.g. LiDAR and photogrammetry) on damage detection, feature extraction and 3D reconstruction for infrastructure inspection and assessment, construction management and urban modelling.
