Tiago M. Fernández-Caramés
Tiago M. Fernández-Caramés received his MSc degree and PhD degrees in Computer Science in 2005 and 2011 from University of A Coruña (UDC), Spain. Since 2005 he has been working with the Department of Computer Engineering at the UDC, where he works both as a researcher and as an assistant professor. His current research interests include IoT systems, blockchain, Industry 4.0, Augmented Reality, RFID, wireless sensor networks, embedded systems, and wireless communications, where he has contributed to more than 70 publications in high-impact journals and conferences. His most relevant project is “Shipyard 4.0”, where he was the coordinator of two research lines for one of the ten largest shipbuilders in the world. Moreover, he has worked in almost 40 projects with private companies, part of which derived into 7 patents.
