Premlata Kumari

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat

Dr. Premlata Kumari is an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, India. She has more than 16 years of teaching and research experience. She received her PhD from the University of Allahabad, India, in 2007. In 2016–2017, she was the head of the Applied Chemistry Department, SVNIT, Surat. She has published more than fifty-five peer-reviewed papers and fourteen book chapters. She has supervised twenty-one postgraduate students and five PhD students. At present, she is supervising six Ph.D. students and three master\'s students. Dr. Kumari’s major study areas include the design and synthesis of bioactive drug candidates as well as their in vitro and in silico analyses. She is also interested in designing more potent drug candidates via the examination of the structure–activity relationship.
