Guilherme Barreto
Guilherme A. Barreto was born in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, in 1973. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará in 1995, and both the MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo in 1998 and 2003, respectively. In 2000, he developed part of his PhD studies at the Neuroinformatics Group of the University of Bielefeld, Germany. He is in the organizing committee of the Brazilian Symposium on Neural Networks (SBRN) and has been serving as reviewer for several neural-network related journals (IEEE TNN, IEEE TSMC, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TSP, Neurocomputing and IJCIA) and conferences (IJCNN, ICASSP, SBRN, among others). Currently, he is with the Department of Teleinformatics Engineering, Federal University of Cear{\'a}. His main research interests are self-organizing neural networks for signal and image processing, time series prediction, pattern recognition and robotics.
