Oswald Van Cleemput
Oswald Van Cleemput is an emeritus professor of Ghent University in Belgium. He has been the head of the Analytical and Physical Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering; he was the dean of this faculty and was a member of the university board. He has been teaching Physical Chemistry as well as Research Methodology and Special Didactics. He is still teaching Scientific Communication in developing countries. His field of research is nitrogen and carbon dynamics in terrestrial and aquatic environments, with special attention to greenhouse gases. He is an author and coauthor of over 500 papers, of which 220 are peer-reviewed. He edited 18 books. Among different scientific awards, he contributed to the award of the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
