Michel DEVY got his degree in Computer Science Engineering in 1976, in Grenoble (France). He defended the PhD in 1980 from LAAS-CNRS in Toulouse (France). Since 1980, he has participated to the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence department of LAAS-CNRS; his research is devoted to computer vision for Automation and Robotics applications. He has been involved in numerous national and international projects, about field and service robots, 3D Vision for Intelligent Vehicles, 3D Metrology.... He is now Research Director at CNRS, head for the research group Robotics, Action and Perception of LAAS-CNRS. He is author or coauthor of about 150 scientific communications.
