Dr. Dag Henning is an energy consultant in his own firm Optensys Energianalys and he is mainly working with energy issues for cities and how district heating can be developed. Dr. Henning is a fellow of energy systems at Linköping University, Sweden. There, he, together with Dr. Alemayehu Gebremedhin, developed a model for optimisation of electricity and district-heating production. Dr. Henning has made analyses of district-heating supply for many local utilities concerning, for example, combined heat and power production, waste incineration, policy instruments and energy conservation. Dr. Henning has previously been coordinating technical and social-science research concerning municipal energy systems.
