Mohammad Jawaid is currently working as Fellow Researcher, Biocomposite Laboratory, Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP), Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. Previously he worked as Visiting Lecturer, Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He previously worked as Expatriate Lecturer under UNDP project with Ministry of Education of Ethiopia at Adama University, Ethiopia. He received his PhD from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2011. He has approximately 4 years of experience in teaching and research, and has 3 years industrial experience. His area of research interests includes Hybrid Reinforced/Filled Polymer Composites, Advance Materials:Grapheme/Nanoclay/Fire Retardant, Lignocellulosic Reinforced/Filled Polymer Composites, Modification and Treatment of Lignocellulosic Fibres and Solid Wood, Nano Composites and Nanocellulose fibres, Polymer blends. He has published over 35 journal papers and conferences/seminar. He has also published 5 Review papers in reputed journal and one of his published works in Carbohydrate Polymers is one of 25 top hot articles during Jan-Dec 2011. He is also reviewer of reputed journals such as Material Science and Engineering Part C, Composite Part A, BioResources, Journal of Applied Polymers etc. He is also receipt of “Best Thesis Award 2011” USM, Penang.
