Dr. Ghislain Despesse was born on the 1st of October 1977 in France, he received the Electronic Engineering Diploma from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan (ENS) in 2002 and his Ph.D. Degree in microelectronics from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (INPG) in 2005. He is also “agrégé” in electrical engineering since 2001 (french examen to be teacher). He joined the CEA-LETI Laboratory in 2005 which is located in the Center for Innovation in micro & nanotechnology (MINATEC), Grenoble, France. He was involved in the development of integrated vibration energy harvesters and in the development of vibration damper. He is implicated since three years in the development of Battery Monitoring Systems (BMS) for the electrical vehicle. He contracted a good experience in electrostatic transduction mechanism to sense, actuate or to convert energy and in the power management. He has published 25 papers in refereed journals and conferences. He holds 31 patents in the fields of energy scavenging and power management.
