Rakesh Sehgal
Rakesh Sehgal is currently Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Dean (Faculty Welfare) at National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, India. He did his post graduation in Design of Mechanical Equipment from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Doctorate in Tribology from Kurukshetra University. Currently, he is actively engaged in research in tribology and pursuing post doctorate in the area of non-circular journal bearings under PDF Award from University Grants Commission, New Delhi, India. He has supervised six doctorate students and several M.Tech. students. He has completed several sponsored research projects and published more than 104 research papers in peer reviewed international/national journals and conferences. He is a life member of Institution of Engineers (India), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Association for Machines and Mechanisms (AMM), Indian Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ISTAM), Tribology Society of India (TSI), Materials Research Society of India (MRSI) and Member of ASME.
