Javed I Kazi
Dr. Javed I. Kazi is Professor and Chairman of Pathology at the Karachi Medical and Dental College and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Karachi, and Consultant Histopathologist, Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT). He is a Dow graduate and has extensively trained both in Pakistan and abroad, including National University of Singapore, Addenbrook’s Hospital, Cambridge, and Leicester General Hospital, where he in collaboration with Professor Peter Furness, developed an artificial neural network for the diagnosis of early graft rejection. Professor Kazi established the department of Histopathology including the Electron Microscopy Unit at the SIUT in 1995. Since then, he has been involved in promoting renal and transplant pathology in Pakistan.
