Roumen Zlatev

Dr. Zlatev is a fulltime researcher in the Engineering Institute of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) at Mexicali, Mexico awarded as Academic Merits of the same University, where he heads the Laboratory of Applied Electrochemistry. Dr. Zlatev obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy of Sofia, Bulgaria and his Ph.D. Degree from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (INPG), France. Until 1992 he was a fulltime researcher in the Bulgarian Academy of Science and a part-time professor in Sofia University. In 2005 Dr. Zlatev founded the Electrochemistry Laboratory ZENIT in Sofia, Bulgaria and worked as its director until January 2005 when he accepted the position of fulltime senior researcher in UABC. Dr. Zlatev is a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers (SNI) and Regular Member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences. He participates in research projects in France, Germany and Mexico. Dr. Zlatev is the author of more than 170 publications, book chapters and reports in scientific congresses and holds 14 patents in the field of the electrochemical and spectroscopic methods of analysis, corrosion and materials, electrochemical and analytical instrumentation.
