Dr. I. Istadi specialises in Catalysis for Energy Conversion and Plasma Reactor. Typically he works on development and application of heterogeneous catalyst for Energy Conversion, i.e. Biomass to Fuel, Waste to Fuels, Gas Processing and Conversion, as well as application of Plasma Reactor for Energy Conversion. He received his undergraduate education in Chemical Engineering at Diponegoro University (B.Eng. 1995) and his Master degree at Chemical Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (M.Eng. 2000). He continued his postgraduate studies in the field of Catalyst and Plasma Reactor Development for Methane Conversion at Faculty of Chemical and Natural Resources Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) (Ph.D. 2006) under Prof. Nor Aishah Saidina Amin. Currently he is Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Department of Chemical Engineering, Diponegoro University. He has published over 20 refereed articles in reputable international journals, book chapter at Studies in Surface Science and Catalysis, Volume 159, entitled: New Development and Application in Chemical Reaction Engineering (Page 213-216), published by Elsevier B.V. ISBN: 978-0-444-51733-3 ISSN: 0167-2991, a book entitled: Methane-Carbon Dioxide: Conversions to Syngas and Hydrocarbons, ISBN: 978-983-52-0472-2 published by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Press, a book chapter entitled “Thermodynamic Analysis Of Synthesis Gas And Higher Hydrocarbons Production From Methane“ In Syngas: Production, Applications and Environmental Impact, Nova Science Publishers, Hardcover ISBN: 978-1-62100-870-5 E-Book ISBN: 978-1-62100-904-7, and a book entitled: \Hybrid Catalytic – Plasma Reactor Development for Energy Conversion\ published by Badan Penerbit Undip, ISBN: 978-979-704-839-6. He has also been appointed as peer-reviewer for numerous reputable international journals published by Elsevier B.V., Springer, Taylor & Francis, and Wiley Interscience. He serves as an Editor-in-Chief of the international journal of Bulletin of Chemical Reaction Engineering & Catalysis (ISSN 1978-2993) at http://bcrec.undip.ac.id that has been indexed in SCOPUS. Now, Dr. Istadi has focused on the Gas Processing and Energy Conversion Engineering and Management.
