After completing Ph.D from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, Dr. Manish Kumar is working as an assistant professor at Tezpur University, a central University in Assam, India. He has been working in the field of hydrology and water management for last 10 years. His research journey has been immensely benefited through working experience at several prestigious institutes like the University of Tokyo, Japan, Kunsan National University, Korea, Uppsala University, Sweden, JNU, New Delhi and National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee. He is the recipient of Foreign Researcher Fellowship from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), Young Researcher Fund from the Centre of Excellence (COE), Japan and Linnaeus-palme stipend from SIDA, Sweden. His research understanding got places in several journal publications (n>15), book chapters (n>9), national and international seminar and conferences (n=17). He promptly shared his research expertise and finding by participating in several international conferences/symposium as a presenter and Co-chair/Chairperson. He was the secretary for the International Symposium on South East Asian Water Environment (SEAWE 2010, Phuket, Thailand). He is actively serving the role of reviewer for different top journals like Chemosphere, Journal of Environmental Management, Journal of Hydrology etc. Currently He is actively disposing the responsibility as an editorial member of International Journal of Geosciences.
