IJARS Women in Robotics project

16 October 2014

The team behind the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems (IJARS) is pleased to announce the launch of the Women in Robotics project. IJARS Women in Robotics is part of the celebratory activities undertaken by the journal's team with the aim to mark the journal's 10th year anniversary.

The intention of this project is to bring into the spotlight the scientific accomplishments of women working in robotics by promoting female authors' submissions to the journal and awarding the best manuscripts. For this occasion, a number of internationally renowned female roboticists have been selected and appointed as the project's female ambassadors, who will also act as the judging panel in the best papers selection.

The winning papers will be published in the journal at no fee for the submitting authors, who will also receive a printed edition of the Best Papers Collection.

Papers submitted in adherence to this initiative will undergo the standard journal's review process within the existing topic structure. The selection of best papers will take place during the month of June, 2015. Accepted papers, including the awarded ones, will be published in the journal during July and August, 2015.
