\r\n\tThis book deals with the adoption of hydrogen as a future clean-fuel in the transportation sector. The book aims to cover a broad range of sub-topics, including the required conversion technologies, such as fuel cell and fuel mixing, hydrogen storage, hydrogen refueling stations, and infrastructures. In addition, the techno-economic analysis and regulation-related policies and market, including the reports on several case studies, are also covered as the additional sub-topics. Also, as hydrogen-based mobility is very closely related to the energy system, the integration of hydrogen-based mobility with the surrounding energy systems, covering electricity and other energy sources, are included. As a result, a whole picture of hydrogen implementation in mobility can be obtained, giving a clearer projection to our future.

The inevitable significance of virtual reality in the practice of dentistry is a result of continuous adherence of public practice with computer based technologies. Research work in the recent decades quoted many innovative and technological advancements introduced in the field of dentistry. Computer technology seems to form the future of dentistry [14]. Today’s dental practice shows an evident usage of CAD-CAM of dental appliances and prostheses worldwide. Yet, VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) techniques are tracking their own significance in learning and working and are still not explored sufficiently. Virtual reality (VR) technologies have a strong impact on research, development, and industrial production.
\nVR technologies in dentistry will be used to provide better education and training by simulating complex contexts and enhancing procedures that are traditionally limited, such as work with mechanical articulator.
\nThis chapter aims at discussing the computer based technologies including VR and AR simulators, CAD-CAM systems and their multidimensional application in dentistry.
\nIn today’s reality, current trends of technologies are at optimum acceleration in a wide range. Virtual reality technology is defined as a method by which an environment is three dimensionally simulated or replicated, giving the user a sense of being inside it, controlling it and personally interacting with it [3, 4]. Designing of a new product brings in the significance and wide usage of VR and the incorporation of 3D modelling in it [1]. The field of health care can never be an exception in the usage of VR as its usage is remarkable in the instructions of surgical procedures [14, 36, 39], student training and patient [31, 41] instructions. VR technology has evidences in successful treatment of complex regional pain syndromes [15] and in creating virtual environment [6] to assess behaviour and rehabilitate cognitive and functional abilities in patients with psychological disorders to help in their treatment [17].
\nTwo basic features of virtual reality are: (i) immersion and (ii) interaction.
\nImmersion is the sense of being present in virtual environment. 3D images, sound and other stimuli are created to simulate an environment that surrounds the user and make them feel a physical presence in a non-physical (non-real) world [22, 32]. Depending on the capabilities of various VR systems ranging from fully immersive to non-immersive systems, the degree of user’s belief of being present is noted [11].
\nInteraction is the power of user to modify the virtual environment [32]. This is well understood with a difference felt between 3D movies and virtual environments. VR systems readily facilitates user to interact with the virtual world, move around, see from various angles, reach, touch and reshape it evidently. Head mounted video goggles wired clothing and fibre optic data gloves can help this sort of interaction possibly [33].
\nVirtual reality systems are classified into three major groups such as non-immersive, semi-immersive and immersive based on immersion and type of components used in the system [11] (Figure 1).

Possibility of giving the user the psycho-physical experience of being surrounded completely by virtual computer generated environment (as illustrated in Figure 2) is brought by immersive VR simulation using hardware, software and interaction devices. Stereoscopy is a process by which full immersion, i.e., the highest level of immersion is produced by head mounted device that displays 3D images. This process shows two images to user—one per eye—which are combined by brain into single 3D image. Data gloves are other components that enable the person to interact with objects. Pulling the objects, twisting or gripping are best examples and these components may also give force feedback to user and it is known as haptic. The tracing devices which can track user’s head, hands, fingers, eyes and feet to enable interaction with the virtual world are also on usage. The sense of display and sounds can make the user fully immersive to virtual environment and feel separated from the real world [18, 20].

This system makes the user stand in a room with a rear projection wall, down projection floor, tracking sensors and sound devices (as illustrated in Figure 3) on walls with speakers at different angles. The user is made to see everything three dimensionally by wearing eye goggles. The system is not considered a fully immersive simulator since the user can still see him or herself. An example of this system is the cave automatic virtual environment [8].

This system stands as the least expensive and least immersive of all. By incorporating stereo display monitor and glasses, this system helps user to be involved with 3D environment. Designing and CAD systems makes use of this type of simulations and this can be run on a standard desktop computer with mouse or joystick [18] (as illustrated in Figure 4).
\nComputer-aided design system [
Application of VR simulation systems in dentistry is still considered to be a challenge even though its application in different aspects of medical training such as laparoscopic surgery [40], etc., are evident in reality. The difference with dental instruments in type, shape, speed and diversity of oral tissues such as gingiva, multilayer teeth and bone with their own complexity contributes to the reason for difficulty in application of the systems [27].
\nIn the dental virtual reality systems, the operator makes use of the stylus which with the help of worn special goggles, appears as the intended instrument like high or low speed hand piece in 3D displaying stereoscopic monitor, to simulate the tooth reduction [21]. Here, the accurate digitized models of instruments, oral cavity tissues and sophisticated graphic programs for showing reduction of tooth are the factors considered to be mandatory.
\nDifferent layers of tooth like enamel, dentin and dental pulp are modelled in VR systems and this helps dental students to avoid unintentional exposure of dental pulp during clinical practice [42]. The haptic devices bring in possibility for the user to feel the force required for each practice (force feedback) and provide a realistic tactile sense and hence the differentiation between various structure or speed of instruments is only possible with the help of haptic devices. These devices paves way for surgeons to touch and feel objects such as surgical tools and human organs in a virtual environment to perform procedures like pulling, pushing and cutting of soft and hard tissues with realistic force feedback. Programming of VR simulator to identify errors and assess the quality of performance is an additional advantage. The basis for comparison and assessment is the fact that the experts determine the best performers and errors [12, 13].
\nIn AR, the real environment is not completely suppressed and notably plays a significant role in the process (as shown in Table 1), making it contrast to VR simulators. AR refers to super imposition of computer generated graphics of real world scene [7]. Instead of engaging a person in a world that is computer generated, augmented reality aims to add synthetic additives to real world or to a live video of real world [34]. Image guided surgery where real and virtual objects need to be composed, integrated, presented or manipulated simultaneously makes the best use of AR [9]. Wide application of AR is also seen in maxillofacial surgery temporomandibular joint motion analysis, prosthetic surgery and dental implantation [36, 39, 41].

Visualization of deep masked structures is where AR is mainly used in oral and maxillofacial surgery. The surgeon maps the surgical map on the 3D image of the site and considers for any necessary modification before the surgery. In the surgery, the surgeon follows the mapped image overlaid on the surgical site with special glasses during the surgery. Ventures for the development of this system for root canal therapy are on progress. To enhance the training capacity, few systems make use of AR and VR technologies [38].
\nCreation of new models for diagnosis and treatment for technically challenging patients can be made possible by the dynamic association of operation on real organ with imaging data. The VR and robotics, as new technologies will have great impact on health care in the near future [19]. This can help experienced surgeons, extending safe limits for more efficient operations [36, 39]. Still there are technological challenges that researchers and developers must face even though VR and AR systems seem to be promising.
\nMany advanced chair side and laboratory CAD-CAM systems were introduced in the past couple of decades. Data collection, designing and manufacturing has been made easy by CAD-CAM systems. CAD-CAM in dentistry holds its own significance like manufacturing by milling technologies. However, it is not completely true as manufacturing can either be by subtractive (milling) or additive technologies [16, 28] (Table 2).

The CAD-CAM systems consists of three components:
A digitization tool/scanner that transforms geometry of real world object into digital data to enable processing by a computer.
Software for data processing.
A technology which manufactures the desired product from the digitized data set [28].
Different types of materials such as porcelain, composite resin and metallic blocks are used in the manufacturing of many fixed prosthetic restorations. Zirconia, which could not be manufactured by conventional methods previously due to technical limitations can also be manufactured now by these systems [30]. The CAD-CAM systems are going to find substantial applications in implant dentistry to manufacture implant supported prostheses, abutments and diagnostic templates [29].
\nThe main benefit of this in dentistry is that the conventional impressions are not needed anymore, which is believed to save dentist’s chair time and eliminate a time consuming step [25]. The CAD-CAM techniques and rapid prototyping are widely used in treatment of maxillofacial defects and surgeries [23]. These techniques are also used for designing and manufacturing the metal components of removable partial dentures by 3D printing [10, 35]. Additionally, this helps in collection of 3D data from the patient’s cast, determining the path of insertion and designing the shape of components or frameworks digitally. The completed models are stored as stereolithography files, which are later transferred to rapid prototyping models. Finally, metal removable partial dentures are fabricated by selective laser melting techniques [24]. Various factors like orthodontic diagnosis, treatment planning [26] and fabrication of appliances (Invisalign production process) which include submitting of scan or impressions and photographs to the company with doctor’s instructions. Making use of CAD-CAM technology these intraoral scans or impressions are used to design accurate 3D digital models for each dental arch after which stereolithographic model is fabricated for each step. Then a plastic aligner will be made over each model and the set of aligners are then sent to the practitioner [37].
\nDetermination of impacted maxillary canines and fabrication of occlusal splints are also done with this. Comprehensive visualization and records of the craniofacial complex are important goals in orthodontic imaging which have been conventionally achieved by means of plaster dental casts, photographs and radiographs. However, cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) has gained considerable acclaim worldwide as a viable tri-dimensional (3D) imaging modality [3].
CBCT is a medical image acquisition technique based on a cone-shaped X-ray beam centered on a two-dimensional (2D) detector. The scanning software collects the raw image data and reconstructs them into a 3D data set.
Whenever it is necessary to comprise the whole craniofacial region in the study, as in cases of cephalometry analyses, a large field of view (FOV) must be selected, which, according to the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.

However, CAD-CAM additive manufacturing innovations have not been used successfully for a wide range of removable orthodontic appliances [26].
Virtual articulator, a basic tool in the CAD-CAM systems, deals primarily with functional aspects of occlusion and is a core tool in many diagnostic and therapeutic procedures [2] (as shown in Table 3). According to GPT 8, an articulator is defined as,

“A mechanical instrument that represents the temporomandibular joints and jaws, to which maxillary and mandibular casts may be attached to simulate some or all mandibular movements.” There are several articulators available in market today, some are very complex and some are very simple in their use and adjustments. The articulator to be used depends on preference of dentists. The late Carl O. Boucher stated “it must be recognized that the person operating the instrument is more important than the instrument itself. If dentists understand articulators and their deficiencies, they can compensate for their inherent inadequacies.”
\nVirtual articulators are also called as “software articulators” as they are not concrete but exist only as a computer program. They comprise of virtual condylar and incisal guide planes. Guide planes can be measured precisely using jaw motion analyser or average values are set in the program like average value articulator. The virtual articulators are able to design prostheses kinematically. They are capable of simulating human mandibular movements, by moving digitalized occlusal surfaces against each other and enabling correction of digitalized occlusal surfaces to produce smooth and collision-free movements.
\nThe virtual articulator offers the possibility of significantly reducing the limitations of mechanical articulators, due to a series of advantages: full analysis can be made of static and dynamic occlusion, of the intermaxillary relationships, and of the joint conditions, thanks to dynamic visualization in three dimensions (3D) of the mandible, the maxilla or both, and to the possibility of selecting section planes allowing detailed observation of regions of interest such as for example, the temporomandibular joint. Combined with CAD/CAM technology, this tool offers great potential in planning dental implants, since it affords greater precision and a lesser duration of treatment [14].
\nToday, designing and manufacturing dental appliances and prostheses makes a significant use of computer based technologies. Still, the simulation systems for instructions or dental skills are the new modalities unexplored and used very by few dental practitioners and schools. These systems are under constant progress and development. Like most of the other new technologies, they are too expensive with more maintenance and repair costs. Computer assisted skill acquisition in conjunction with traditional training on the other hand would enable students to practice repeatedly with constant assessment and for feedback which is rarely possible with resin models. Simulation systems enable the students in surgical field to practice in real mode on virtual subjects. Surgeons can make the best use of visual information on surgical site provided.
\nThe physicochemical properties of nanomaterials make them suitable candidates for sensor applications due to their high surface area and surfactant functional groups. Nanomaterials with different morphologies help to adapt their application-specific detection properties. Therefore, researchers focus on effective detection platforms (reaction time, sensitivity, and selectivity) for the detection of aqueous reactive dyes based on different detection principles with sensors prepared with different morphological structures of nanomaterials (nanoparticles, nanowires, nanoprisms, etc.). Also, the materials in nanoscale exhibit higher dissolution and higher solubility than in microscale. Many types of nanomaterials such as metal oxide semiconductors, carbon-based nanomaterials, graphene/graphene-based nanomaterials, and metal-organic frameworks have been investigated for sensing reactive dyes in water [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15].
Electrochemical sensing method involves the measurement of the redox transformation of reactive dye molecules upon contact with the sensing nanomaterial surface. The method mainly consists of (a) conductometric/resistive, (b) amperometric/voltammetric, and (c) impedimetric electrochemical sensing. Voltammetric sensors work based on the current difference between reference and working electrodes. This approach utilizes the measurement of current as a function of variation in the applied potential difference in terms of the oxidation or reduction of an electroresponses of an electrochemical sensor. The peak current measured during voltammetry-mediated oxidation of analyte (e.g., reactive dye) is reflected as a function of its concentration. The sensitivity of the voltammetric electrochemical sensor is defined as (Ig − I0)/I0, where Ig and I0 are the currents while sensing film - analyte (e.g., reactive dye) is interacting and not, respectively. The voltammetric-type electrochemical sensing allows the quantification of the redox state of analyte in terms of current variations [16, 17, 18].
Transducers of the electrochemical sensors have attractive attention for preparing highly sensitive sensors. Nonuniform ohmic drop on an electrochemical transducer significantly affects the cyclic voltammogram data. The shape of the cyclic voltammograms predicts various electrochemical transducer geometries and experimental conditions [19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35].
Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanomaterials have distinct properties such as high sensitivity, high surface area, nontoxic, good compatibility, specific shape, nanosize, and correspondingly high isoelectric point. The unique and adjustable properties of ZnO nanomaterials as n-type semiconductor materials show excellent chemical and thermal stability in a wide range of applications such as solar cells, optical devices, sensors, etc. As far as the morphological perspectives of ZnO are concerned, the synthesis and production procedures also play an important role. The different parameters such as surfactant, temperature, concentration, and time are very significant for the growth of nanomaterials with different morphologies in various synthesis processes. Numerous different methods have been reported worldwide for the synthesis of ZnO nanopowder, composites, and films with good surface structure. Noteworthy techniques for the synthesis of various ZnO nanomaterials are generally deposition, wet chemical technique, sol-gel treatment, hydrothermal process, solvothermal process, and microwave techniques [36, 37].
This is the first report of the preparation and structural characterization of novel tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism and investigation of the voltammetric electrochemical sensing characteristics of tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprisms against reactive dyes in water towards environmental monitoring. We suggest that this tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism material has a great potential for future applications in high-performance, low-cost, portable, small-scale voltammetric electrochemical sensors towards forthcoming electronics.
Tragacanth gum (T) and chitosan were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich Company. Reactive red 35 (RR35), reactive yellow 15 (RY15), and acid black 194 (AB194) were obtained from Burboya Company. Zinc nitrate hexahydrate (Zn(NO3)2·6H2O), glacial acetic acid (glacial 100%, pro analysis), and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) were purchased from Merck Company. MF-Millipore™ membrane filter was purchased from Merck Company. Ultrapure water was provided by a human ultrapure water system (water resistance: 18.3 Mohm) and was used for the preparation of all reactive dye solutions as analytes. All electrochemical gold transducers and voltammetric electrochemical workstation were purchased from Ebtro Electronics.
Tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprisms were prepared using a green sonochemical method at 25°C (35 kHz frequency, 320 W, Sonoplus, Bandelin, Germany). In the first step, 0.1 g of tragacanth gum was dissolved in 50 ml of deionized pure water on a magnetic stirrer in 2 h at 25°C. In the second step, 0.1 g of chitosan was dissolved in 50 ml of 2% glacial acetic acid. In the third step, 25 ml of the prepared solutions was taken and mixed. In the fourth step, O.1 M of Zn(NO3)2·6H2O and 0.2 M of NaOH was prepared in deionized pure water. In the fifth stage, the solution of Zn(NO3)2·6H2O was added in the solutions, and then the solution of NaOH was added dropwise under the sonicator at 25°C for 40 min (%30 amp). The solution was kept at 24 h in the dark at room temperature. Then, it was first filtered through membrane filters of 0.45 μm and 0.22 μm pore size, respectively. The final solution (viscosity: 1.28 cP and pH 4) was stored at 25°C for use in the sterile container for analysis.
Electrochemical gold transducers were rinsed with ultrapure water, dried with nitrogen gas, and coated with tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism solution by dropping and drying the solution. The 3D model structure and the property of dyes used are shown in Figure 1.

The potential of the working electrode was varied linearly with time, while the reference electrode was maintained at a constant potential. The potential was applied between the reference electrode and the working electrode, and the current was measured between the working electrode and the counter electrode. Ebtro voltammetric electrochemical workstation with a three-electrode configuration was used for all electrochemical tests. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) was performed in [−1, +1] V range with a scan rate of 50 mV/s.
The structural analysis of the tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism material was performed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) (Figure 2).

As seen in Figure 2, according to XRD analysis, strong peaks were observed at 2θ = 13°, 31°, which corresponds to the tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO crystalline planes. In the experiments, crystalline-structured tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprisms provided the advantage of obtaining a high surface area for higher interaction and reaction of sensing tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism thin film on gold transducer-reactive dye with high electron mobility in terms of crystalline structure. SEM and EDX analyses of the prepared tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprisms were performed (Figure 3).

The EDX technique was employed to obtain some information on the spatial distribution of the corresponding elements. The EDX analysis of tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprisms provides the average percentage of zinc (Zn) and oxygen (O) at different points. All these suggest efficient preparation and presence of targeted atoms in tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprisms. The polymer matrix (tragacanth gum/chitosan) provides enormously large surface area for dispersion that helps ZnO to grow in the form of nanoprisms with higher reactivity for redox processing. The homogenous dispersion of ZnO in polymer matrix enhances conductivity and stability of the nanostructure. The complementary properties of tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism generate a synergistic effect to enhance the electrochemical performance and provide improved charge exchange efficiency and stability during redox cycling.
Cyclic voltammetry measurements were performed to analyze the electrochemical sensor performance of tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-coated gold transducer. Current-voltage curves of tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-coated gold transducers against reactive red 35, reactive yellow 15, and reactive black 194 were obtained, respectively, in [−1, +10] V range with a scan rate of 50 mV/s at room temperature in real-time measurements by Ebtro voltammetric electrochemical workstation (Figure 4).

Figure 4 shows the comparative current-voltage curves of tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-coated gold transducers against reactive red dye, reactive yellow dye, and reactive black dye in [−1, +10] V range with a scan rate of 50 mV/s at room temperature. The measured current responses were due to either oxidation or reduction of the reactive dye analytes over the entire cycle at the surface of the bare gold transducers. The current peaks arised from redox reactions between tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism and reactive red dye molecules observed. The curves showed that there are no peaks arising from reactive yellow and black dye molecules as redox reactions did not occur between tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism and reactive yellow and black dye molecules. The goal of this research was to evaluate the performance of the tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-coated gold transducer of the voltammetric electrochemical sensor in discriminating different reactive dyes in water. In this context, we focused on the electrochemical sensing capability tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprisms against to reactive dye-consisted water. The electrochemical oxidation of reactive red dye-consisted water was observed using the scan rate of 50 mV/s at room temperature over a potential range of −0.2 to 0.8 V. In Figure 4, current-voltage curves of tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-coated gold transducer indicated a prominent redox peak for reactive red dye, while the other tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-coated gold transducers indicated no redox peak for reactive yellow and black dyes in water. The redox peak was attributed to a large number of SO3− branches of the reactive red 35 (Eqs. (1)–(3)).
After these obtained results, sensor measurements were performed for determining reactive red dye. The different concentrations of reactive red dye were tested on tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-coated gold transducers in [−1, +10] V range with a scan rate of 50 mV/s at room temperature. Current peaks arised from redox reactions which came from between tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism and reactive red dye molecules increased with increasing reactive red concentration in the range of 25–100 ppm. As the concentration of the reactive red dye molecules in the water increases, redox reactions increase the sensitivity of the sensor. Prepared tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-based electrochemical sensor detected 25 ppm reactive red dye in 1 min at room temperature.
The reproducibility of the tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-coated gold transducer was investigated by analyzing reactive red dye for four times. To ascertain the reproducibility results, the cyclic voltammetry experiments were carried out using the transducers under similar conditions. The peak currents for reactive red dye have not changed much even after a week. This showed the stability of the tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-coated gold transducer.
In this study, for environmental monitoring of reactive dye-consisting wastewater, the novel tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-based electrochemical sensor was prepared and tested via cyclic voltammetry technique. The electrochemical measurement results indicate that prepared tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-based electrochemical sensor has a higher sensitivity against reactive red dye than reactive yellow dye and reactive black dye in water. Prepared tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprism-based electrochemical sensor detected 25 ppm reactive red dye in 1 min at room temperature. This study reveals new high-potential sensing material for the detection of reactive dye-consisting wastewater with high sensitivity and short response time. It is the first time that the sensing interaction of tragacanth gum/chitosan/ZnO nanoprisms and reactive red dye was explained.

\\n\\n2. CORRESPONDING AUTHOR'S GRANT OF RIGHTS
\\n\\n2.1 Subject to the following Article, the Corresponding Author grants and shall ensure that each Co-Author grants, to IntechOpen, during the full term of copyright and any extensions or renewals of that term the following:
\\n\\n• An irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, sublicensable, non-exclusive right to publish, communicate to the public, reproduce, republish, transmit, sell, distribute and otherwise use and make available the Article in whole, partial or adapted from and/or incorporated in or in conjunction with other works, in electronic and print editions of the Publication and in derivative works and on any platform owned and/or operated by IntechOpen, throughout the world, in all languages, and in all media and formats now known or later developed.
\\n\\n• An irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, sublicensable, non-exclusive right to create and store electronic archival copies of the Article, including the right to deposit the Article in open access digital repositories.
\\n\\n• An irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, sublicensable, non-exclusive right to license others to reproduce, translate, republish, transmit and distribute the Article in whole, partial or adapted from and/or incorporated in or in conjunction with other works under the condition that the Corresponding Author and each Co-Author is attributed (currently this is carried out by publishing the Article under a Creative Commons 4.0 International Licence).
\\n\\nThe aforementioned licenses shall survive the expiry or termination of this Agreement for any reason.
\\n\\n2.2 The Corresponding Author (on their own behalf and on behalf of any Co-Author) reserves the following rights to the Article but agrees not to exercise them in such a way as to adversely affect IntechOpen's ability to utilize the full benefit of this Publication Agreement: (i) reprographic rights worldwide, other than those which subsist in the typographical arrangement of the Article as published by IntechOpen; and (ii) public lending rights arising under the Public Lending Right Act 1979, as amended from time to time, and any similar rights arising in any part of the world. The Corresponding Author confirms that they (and any Co-Author) are and will remain a member of any applicable licensing and collecting society and any successor to that body responsible for administering royalties for the reprographic reproduction of copyright works.
\\n\\nSubject to the license granted above, copyright in the Article and all versions of it created during IntechOpen's editing process (including the published version) is retained by the Corresponding Author and any Co-Author.
\\n\\nSubject to the license granted above, the Corresponding Author and any Co-Author retains patent, trademark and other intellectual property rights to the Article.
\\n\\n2.3 All rights granted to IntechOpen in this Article are assignable, sublicensable or otherwise transferrable to third parties without the Corresponding Author's or any Co-Author’s specific approval.
\\n\\n2.4 The Corresponding Author (on their own behalf and on behalf of each Co Author) will not assert any rights under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 to object to derogatory treatment of the Article as a consequence of IntechOpen's changes to the Article arising from translation of it, corrections and edits for house style, removal of problematic material and other reasonable edits.
\\n\\n3. CORRESPONDING AUTHOR'S DUTIES
\\n\\n3.1 When distributing or re-publishing the Article, the Corresponding Author agrees to credit the Journal in which the Article has been published as the source of first publication, as well as IntechOpen. The Corresponding Author warrants that each Co-Author will also credit the Journal in which the Article has been published as the source of first publication, as well as IntechOpen, when they are distributing or re publishing the Article.
\\n\\n3.2 When submitting the Article, the Corresponding Author agrees to:
\\n\\n• Comply with all instructions and guidelines provided by IntechOpen;
\\n\\n• Produce the Article with all due skill, care and diligence, and in accordance with good scientific practice;
\\n\\n• Submit all the corrections in due time as defined during the publishing process schedule.
\\n\\nThe Corresponding Author will be held responsible for the payment of the Article Processing Charge.
\\n\\nAll payments shall be due 30 days from the date of the issued invoice. The Corresponding Author or the payer on the Corresponding Author's and Co-Authors' behalf will bear all banking and similar charges incurred.
\\n\\n3.3 The Corresponding Author shall obtain in writing all consents necessary for the reproduction of any material in which a third-party right exists, including quotations, photographs and illustrations, in all editions of the Article worldwide for the full term of the above licenses, and shall provide to IntechOpen upon request the original copies of such consents for inspection (at IntechOpen's option) or photocopies of such consents.

The contents may not be disclosed publicly and are not intended for unauthorized use or distribution. Any use, disclosure, copying, or distribution is prohibited and may be unlawful.
\\n\\n4. CORRESPONDING AUTHOR'S WARRANTY
\\n\\n4.1 The Corresponding Author represents and warrants that the Article does not and will not breach any applicable law or the rights of any third party and, specifically, that the Article contains no matter that is defamatory or that infringes any literary or proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, or any rights of privacy. The Corresponding Author warrants and represents that: (i) the Article is the original work of themselves and any Co-Author and is not copied wholly or substantially from any other work or material or any other source; (ii) the Article has not been formally published in any other peer-reviewed journal or in a Journal or edited collection, and is not under consideration for any such publication; (iii) they themselves and any Co-Author are qualifying persons under section 154 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988; (iv) they themselves and any Co-Author have not assigned and will not during the term of this Publication Agreement purport to assign any of the rights granted to IntechOpen under this Publication
\\n\\nAgreement; and (v) the rights granted by this Publication Agreement are free from any security interest, option, mortgage, charge or lien.
\\n\\nThe Corresponding Author also warrants and represents that: (i) they have the full power to enter into this Publication Agreement on their own behalf and on behalf of each Co-Author; and (ii) they have the necessary rights and/or title in and to the Article to grant IntechOpen, on behalf of themselves and any Co-Author, the rights and licenses expressed to be granted in this Publication Agreement. If the Article was prepared jointly by the Corresponding Author and any Co-Author, the Corresponding Author warrants and represents that: (i) each Co-Author agrees to the submission, license and publication of the Article on the terms of this Publication Agreement; and (ii) they have the authority to enter into this Publication Agreement on behalf of and bind each Co-Author. The Corresponding Author shall: (i) ensure each Co-Author complies with all relevant provisions of this Publication Agreement, including those relating to confidentiality, performance and standards, as if a party to this Publication Agreement; and (ii) remain primarily liable for all acts and/or omissions of each such Co-Author.
\\n\\nThe Corresponding Author agrees to indemnify and hold IntechOpen harmless against all liabilities, costs, expenses, damages and losses and all reasonable legal costs and expenses suffered or incurred by IntechOpen arising out of or in connection with any breach of the aforementioned representations and warranties. This indemnity shall not cover IntechOpen to the extent that a claim under it results from IntechOpen's negligence or willful misconduct.
\\n\\n4.2 Nothing in this Publication Agreement shall have the effect of excluding or limiting any liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.
\\n\\n5. TERMINATION
\\n\\n5.1 IntechOpen has a right to terminate this Publication Agreement for quality, program, technical or other reasons with immediate effect, including without limitation (i) if the Corresponding Author or any Co-Author commits a material breach of this Publication Agreement; (ii) if the Corresponding Author or any Co Author (being an individual) is the subject of a bankruptcy petition, application or order; or (iii) if the Corresponding Author or any Co-Author (being a company) commences negotiations with all or any class of its creditors with a view to rescheduling any of its debts, or makes a proposal for or enters into any compromise or arrangement with any of its creditors.
\\n\\nIn case of termination, IntechOpen will notify the Corresponding Author, in writing, of the decision.
\\n\\n6. INTECHOPEN’S DUTIES AND RIGHTS
\\n\\n6.1 Unless prevented from doing so by events outside its reasonable control, IntechOpen, in its discretion, agrees to publish the Article attributing it to the Corresponding Author and any Co-Author.
\\n\\n6.2 IntechOpen has the right to use the Corresponding Author’s and any Co-Author’s names and likeness in connection with scientific dissemination, retrieval, archiving, web hosting and promotion and marketing of the Article and has the right to contact the Corresponding Author and any Co-Author until the Article is publicly available on any platform owned and/or operated by IntechOpen.
\\n\\n6.3 IntechOpen is granted the authority to enforce the rights from this Publication Agreement, on behalf of the Corresponding Author and any Co-Author, against third parties (for example in cases of plagiarism or copyright infringements). In respect of any such infringement or suspected infringement of the copyright in the Article,
\\n\\nIntechOpen shall have absolute discretion in addressing any such infringement which is likely to affect IntechOpen's rights under this Publication Agreement, including issuing and conducting proceedings against the suspected infringer.
\\n\\n7. MISCELLANEOUS
\\n\\n7.1 Further Assurance: The Corresponding Author shall and will ensure that any relevant third party (including any Co-Author) shall, execute and deliver whatever further documents or deeds and perform such acts as IntechOpen reasonably requires from time to time for the purpose of giving IntechOpen the full benefit of the provisions of this Publication Agreement.
\\n\\n7.2 Third Party Rights: A person who is not a party to this Publication Agreement may not enforce any of its provisions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
\\n\\n7.3 Entire Agreement: This Publication Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties in relation to its subject matter. It replaces and extinguishes all prior agreements, draft agreements, arrangements, collateral warranties, collateral contracts, statements, assurances, representations and undertakings of any nature made by or on behalf of the parties, whether oral or written, in relation to that subject matter. Each party acknowledges that in entering into this Publication Agreement it has not relied upon any oral or written statements, collateral or other warranties, assurances, representations or undertakings which were made by or on behalf of the other party in relation to the subject matter of this Publication Agreement at any time before its signature (together "Pre-Contractual Statements"), other than those which are set out in this Publication Agreement. Each party hereby waives all rights and remedies which might otherwise be available to it in relation to such Pre-Contractual Statements. Nothing in this clause shall exclude or restrict the liability of either party arising out of its pre-contract fraudulent misrepresentation or fraudulent concealment.
\\n\\n7.4 Waiver: No failure or delay by a party to exercise any right or remedy provided under this Publication Agreement or by law shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it preclude or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy. No single or partial exercise of such right or remedy shall preclude or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.
\\n\\n7.5 Variation: No variation of this Publication Agreement shall be effective unless it is in writing and signed by the parties (or their duly authorized representatives).
\\n\\n7.6 Severance: If any provision or part-provision of this Publication Agreement is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted.
\\n\\nAny modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of this Publication Agreement.
\\n\\n7.7 No partnership: Nothing in this Publication Agreement is intended to, or shall be deemed to, establish or create any partnership or joint venture or the relationship of principal and agent or employer and employee between IntechOpen and the Corresponding Author or any Co-Author, nor authorize any party to make or enter into any commitments for or on behalf of any other party.
\\n\\n7.8 Governing law: This Publication Agreement and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Each party acknowledges that in entering into this Publication Agreement it has not relied upon any oral or written statements, collateral or other warranties, assurances, representations or undertakings which were made by or on behalf of the other party in relation to the subject matter of this Publication Agreement at any time before its signature (together "Pre-Contractual Statements"), other than those which are set out in this Publication Agreement. Each party hereby waives all rights and remedies which might otherwise be available to it in relation to such Pre-Contractual Statements. Nothing in this clause shall exclude or restrict the liability of either party arising out of its pre-contract fraudulent misrepresentation or fraudulent concealment.
\n\n7.4 Waiver: No failure or delay by a party to exercise any right or remedy provided under this Publication Agreement or by law shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it preclude or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy. No single or partial exercise of such right or remedy shall preclude or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.
\n\n7.5 Variation: No variation of this Publication Agreement shall be effective unless it is in writing and signed by the parties (or their duly authorized representatives).
\n\n7.6 Severance: If any provision or part-provision of this Publication Agreement is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted.
\n\nAny modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of this Publication Agreement.
\n\n7.7 No partnership: Nothing in this Publication Agreement is intended to, or shall be deemed to, establish or create any partnership or joint venture or the relationship of principal and agent or employer and employee between IntechOpen and the Corresponding Author or any Co-Author, nor authorize any party to make or enter into any commitments for or on behalf of any other party.
\n\n7.8 Governing law: This Publication Agreement and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Publication Agreement (including any non-contractual disputes or claims).

Today, personal computers are very powerful but underutilized. Most of the computer resources are idle; 75% of the time and server are often unproductive. This brings the sense of distributed computing, in which the idea is to use the geographically distributed resources to meet the demand of high-performance computing. The Internet facilitates users to access heterogeneous services and run applications over a distributed environment. Due to openness and heterogeneous nature of distributed computing, the developer must deal with several issues like load balancing, interoperability, fault occurrence, resource selection, and task scheduling. Load balancing is the mechanism to distribute the load among resources optimally. The objective of this chapter is to discuss need and issues of load balancing that evolves the research scope. Various load balancing algorithms and scheduling methods are analyzed that are used for performance optimization of web resources. Mesraoua is the Director of the Neurology Fellowship Program at the Neurology Section and an active member of the newly created Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Hamad General Hospital, Doha, Qatar; he is also Assistant Director of the Residency Program at the Qatar Medical School. \nDr B.
