This webinar will present technologies that can support the Open Access model in developing countries, providing them with the benefits of free and unrestricted access to knowledge. It will showcase different platforms and explore how they can accelerate the discovery of knowledge in these regions and more widely.

Our speakers, Dr Jo Havemann, Co-founder of AfricArXiv, will discuss how Open Access supports efforts to increase the discoverability of research from and about Africa.

Prof Tatiana Morosuk, Editorial Board Member of IntechOpen's Green Energy and Environmental Technology (GEET) journal and IntechOpen sustainable energy research author, will focus on Open Access publishing in emerging green energy technologies, including its contribution to a greener and sustainable future.

Sara Crowley Vigneau, Partnerships Manager at Zendy, will explore how collaboration between key stakeholders in Open Access - researchers, publishers, libraries - can support the dissemination of content in underserved communities and how AI-powered technologies can facilitate more equitable access.

Viktorija Žgela, Head of Editorial Development at IntechOpen will moderate and lead the discussions.

At the heart of this event is a mission rooted in collaboration. IntechOpen and Zendy have joined forces to broaden the impact of Open Access research, with Zendy focusing on improving discoverability in underserved regions. This partnership unites two organisations dedicated to sustainable knowledge access, aligned with the SDG Publishers Compact goals. Together, we aim to expand open access content's reach, enhancing scholarly accessibility where it's needed most. Our collaboration embodies the spirit of SDG 17, 'Partnerships for the Goals,' as we contribute to the global pursuit of SDGs.
