Simona Clichici
Simona Clichici is PhD in Medicine and Professor of Physiology at 'Iuliu Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In 2007 she became the coordinator of the in vivo Research Laboratory at the Physiology Department. She has practical experience and many published papers concerning in vivo experimental design of different pathological conditions (ex. liver fibrosis, diabetes mellitus), oxidative stress and cytotoxicity assessment, study of the nanomaterials’ effects on living organisms (citotoxicity, oxidative stress, inflammation, apoptosis), protective effects of different natural compounds, photodynamic therapy and carcinogenesis. She was the coordinator of 2 national grants, one of them regarding the toxicity of carbon nanotubes and the author/co-author of more than 100 papers, all of the concerning experimental studies on lab animals.
