The purpose of our planned book is to provide an overview of the front lines of nature conservation and conservation biology, all issues of species protection, habitat protection, biodiversity protection, and the protection of ecosystems, both in terms of basic research, applied research, and practical problems, both in global, regional and local topics. We welcome scientific publications, case studies, and scientific reviews, both in a theoretical and a practical approach. In addition to nature conservation specialists, we look forward to the results and contributions of botanists, zoologists, biogeographers, environmental scientists, and ecotheologists. We consider the research of endangered species (animals, plants, microbes), endangered habitats, natural or human-influenced ecosystems, as well as revitalisation or habitat reconstruction to be equally important. Nature protection cannot be successful without an in-depth analysis of the phenomena of the current global ecological crisis and the development of the working methods of a sustainable global society.
