Dr. Hazem El-Alfy
Alexandria University, Egypt
Dr. Hazem El-Alfy is an Assistant Professor at the University of
Alexandria, Egypt. He graduated with honors from the Department of
Computer Science at the University of Alexandria in 1997 and later
received a Masters degree in Engineering Mathematics in 2001 from the
same university. He then worked as a Research Assistant at the
University of Maryland at College Park where he earned another Masters
degree in 2005 and a doctoral degree in 2009, both from the Computer
Science Department. His research interests are in video processing and
multi-camera management with applications in surveillance and robot
path planning. He has publications in top international conferences on
Robotics, Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence. Dr. El-Alfy received
several awards, honors and research grants from the Faculty of
Engineering at Alexandria University.
