Prof. Ramiro Verissimo

Born in 1951, Professor Ramiro Veríssimo got his MD, specialized thereafter in Psychiatry and obtained later his PhD at the University of Porto. Teaching Medical Psychology and Psychosomatics, he is at present full Professor at Oporto Faculty of Medicine. His topic of election is Psychosomatic Medicine, competence he had recognized by the International College of Psychosomatic Medicine. Member of several scientific associations, vice-president of the European Federation of Psychosomatic Medicine, he promoted and was a co-founder of the Portuguese Psychosomatic Society as well as of the European Network on Psychosomatic Medicine.
