Dr. Amaya Igartua, is the head of the Tribology Unit in the FundaciÃ³n TEKNIKER. She has been representative of the COST 516, 532 and 533 Actions about tribology and biotribology, and participated in the creation of the Virtual Tribological Institute, The European Network ENIWEP and E-SURF, and is representative of the Steering Committee of the European Platform of Materials, EUMAT. She has coordinated 3 EU projects, and more than 20 National projects, and is author of more than 100 papers.
