Laura Conde Ferráez

Laura Conde-Ferraez is a tenured professor researcher at the Virology Laboratory, Regional Research Center, Universidad Autonoma de Yucatán, Mexico, within the officially recognized academic group “Biomedicine of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.” She has a degree in biology and a Ph.D. in Sciences and Biotechnology. Dr Conde-Ferraez has obtained and managed several grants for developing projects in basic and applied biomedical fields since 2009 and has coordinated multidisciplinary research teams and projects with social impact. She is an experienced teacher and student supervisor (undergraduate and postgraduate). In 2023, she was recognized as a level 2 researcher by the National Researchers System in Mexico for her academic trajectory. Dr. Conde-Ferraez has authored and co-authored more than thirty peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters. She also participates in science communication activities with conferences, social media, and article publications. Her main research experience focuses on human papillomaviruses and other agents affecting reproductive and sexual health in women and men, but she also collaborates on research on respiratory and other viral diseases.
