Francesco Bochicchio

Francesco Bochicchio has been working at the Italian National Institute of Health since 1987, first as a researcher and then as a senior researcher, director of research, and director of the National Center of Radiation Protection and Computational Physics. He is currently the director of the National Center for Radiation Protection and Computational Physics. He has collaborated with several international organizations, such as the European Commission (EC)/Euratom, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR), and the World Health Organization (WHO). He also contributed, as a national representative or WHO consultant, to the development of the European and the International Basic Safety Standards on protection from ionizing radiation.
