IntechOpen at the Charleston Conference 2023
During the virtual conference week 27 November - 1 December
20 November 2023
During the virtual conference week, IntechOpen is participating alongside experts from Digital Science, Nuremberg University, and the Open Syllabus Project in a round table titled 'A Fresh Look at Open Access Book Publishing Post-Pandemic in an SDG-Focused World.'
Scheduled for Tuesday, November 28, at 10:30 am US Eastern Time, this round table provides an opportunity to address ongoing questions: How are funding and business models for Open Access books developing in our post-pandemic world? Are books continuing to be relevant, and how are the SDGs playing a role in shaping their development? And how do we measure that relevance in our brave new data-driven world?
While OA book programs are important, they are often overlooked. However, various industry initiatives and innovative programs are emerging and being brought together in a comprehensive and coordinated effort to change that overlooked status.
Speakers:
Adrian T Stanley, Adrian Stanley Consulting LLC, President
Markus Putnings, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, University Library
Joe Karaganis, Open Syllabus, Director
Shannon O’Reilly, Digital Science, Team Lead, Product Solutions - Altmetric & Dimensions
Viktorija Žgela, IntechOpen, Head of Editorial Development
