Esmaeil Zaraii Zavaraki

Esmaeil Zaraii Zavaraki is full professor of educational technology in faculty of psychology and educational sciences at Allameh Tabataba'i University, Tehran, Iran. According to the report of Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC) dated December 1402, he is on the list of 424 highly cited researchers in humanities, social sciences, art and architecture in the last ten years (2012-2021). Also, according to the report of Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC) dated December 1402, he is in the list of 39 most cited humanities and social sciences researchers of Allameh Tabataba’i University in the last ten years (2012-2021).He was head of educational technology department in faculty of psychology and educational sciences at Allameh Tabataba'i University, Tehran, Iran for a period of 8 years. He was a visiting researcher as an Excellence Scholarship Fellow in the University of Geneva, Switzerland from July 2018 to July 2020. He was also head of educational sciences department at Islamic Azad University e-Campus (IAUEC), Tehran, Iran for a period of 4 years. He has served as educational assistant director of faculty of psychology and educational sciences at Allameh Tabataba'i University, Tehran, Iran for a period of 4 years. He is the author of 176 published papers in national and international journals and conferences. He has supervised 150 M.A and 22 Doctoral theses in areas of educational technology, special education with emphases on educational technology and assistive technology. He has carried out 20 workshops in universities and schools for teachers. He is teaching graduate courses such as: educational technology in special education, web based education, distance education with emphases on electronic learning, designing of learning center, advanced teaching methods, and advanced educational technology at Allameh Tabataba'i University, Tehran, Iran since 2003 year. He is author of 11books and translator of 21 books from English language to Persian that are reference sources in Iran. Now, his research interests are: Educational technology, Integrated, Multi-Theoretical approach to learning, technology integration in special education, special education with emphases on educational technology, special education and assistive technology, multimedia and hypermedia in special education, designing E- learning environments for people with special educational needs, blended learning approach in special education. Continuous effort, hard work and gradual progress in the path of excellence are his unique characteristics.
