Mahi L. Ashwath
Dr. Mahi Ashwath is the Immediate Past President of the Iowa Chapter of the ACC and is currently a Clinical Professor in Internal Medicine and Radiology, Multimodality Imaging Director, and Inaugural Reuben Jacobs Endowed Chair at the University of Texas San Antonio. Prior to her current position, she was a Clinical Professor in Internal Medicine and Radiology, Program Director for the Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship, and Director of Cardiac MRI at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Dr. Ashwath started her medical training at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, and completed it with fellowships in Cardiology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and in Cardiac MRI at Duke Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Center in Durham, North Carolina. She is passionate about Cardiac Imaging, Cardio Oncology, Education, Leadership and Mentorship, and encouraging diversity.
