Razvan Udroiu

Dr. Razvan Udroiu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Manufacturing Engineering and has served as Head of Aerospace Engineering at Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania, since 2008. He holds a B.Sc. degree (5 years) in Aerospace Engineering(1995) and an M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering(1996) from Transilvania University of Brasov. He obtained his Ph.D. (Cum Laude) in Industrial Engineering field from the same university in 2003 with a “Design and manufacturing of complex parts” thesis. He has been a PhD advisor in the Industrial Engineering field since 2024, with a "Research on additive manufacturing and quality analysis of polymeric industrial products" habilitation thesis. R. Udroiu is the author/ co-author for 13 books, book chapters, and, 27 research papers within ISI Thomson Reuters journals and international conferences and co-author for 4 patent proposals. He has participated in 4 international grants, 19 research contracts with companies as a director, and 14 research-development-innovation grants as a team member. His main competencies are related to the fields of Additive Manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping, 3D Printing, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, and Composite materials technologies. He is a member of the international professional associations, IAENG Society of Industrial Engineering, IAENG Society of Mechanical Engineering, and Academic Association of Manufacturing Engineering
