Dr. Sumari is a member of the Indonesia Cyber Security Forum (ICSF) and the Institute of Indonesia Engineers (PII). He has eight patents and sixteen copyrights registered. In 2015, he was the Expert Staff of the Desk for National Information Resilience and Security, and then in 2016, he was the Division Head of Information Resilience of the National Cyberspace Desk. He is also a Senior Electrical Engineer Officer of the Indonesian Air Force.

About the book

Cyberspace is a vast area that has been used for non-physical activities and can involve various factors that can harm or be beneficial in an undetected and hard-to-capture manner. The emergence of 4.0 technologies brought by the 4th Industrial Revolution has brought more attention to the utilization of cyberspace for humankind. Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Cyber-Physical System (CPS), Big Data, and Blockchain have influenced cyberspace whether for good or bad. Hence, the challenges and threats to cyberspace have to be anticipated especially in the use of 4.0 technologies.

This book aims to bring comprehensive perspectives on the utilization of cyberspace in the context of 4.0 technologies. Its challenges and threats will be elaborated comprehensively to allow the readers to have new insights not only from its benefits and challenges but also to increase the awareness of the positive and negative impacts of cyberspace. It also hopes to propose information security, and cyber defense solutions, as well as provide definitions for selected threats and vulnerabilities of cyberspace. The disruptive potential of cyber tools, merging with the emergence of 4.0 technologies, will be examined from the technical point of view.

Colonel (Electronics) Assist. Prof. Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya ”Daemon” Wahyudi Sumari, S.T., M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng., ACPE, FSI, FSME, VDBM, SA, S.R. Eng. was inaugurated as 2nd Lieutenant Officer of Electronics Corps of the Indonesian Air Force from Indonesian Air Force Academy (IDAFA), Yogyakarta with Honors in 1991. He also achieved Adi Makayasa Medal as Best of the Best Graduate of IDAFA year 1991 and Trophy for the Best Graduate of 1988-1991 Electronics Majoring. He received Sarjana Teknik (S.T.) or Bachelor in Engineering degree in Electronics Engineering focused on Artificial Neural Networks with Cum Laude, Magister Teknik (M.T.) or Master in Engineering degree in Computer Engineering focused on Multi-Agent System with Cum Laude, and Doctor (Dr.) in Electrical Engineering and Informatics also focused on Cognitive Artificial Intelligence with Cum Laude from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Bandung, Indonesia in April 1996, March 2008, and July 2010 respectively. He also holds some professional certificates for Military Flight Simulator, military mobile weather Radar, and electrical engineering. Colonel Dr. Arwin Sumari is the first IDAF officer who received Outstanding Award from Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force in 1996, the First Winner of Indonesian Armed Force’s Research and Development Competition in 2001, and award received as the Best Manuscript Award ”Sastratama” when studying at Indonesian Air Force’s School of Staff and Command in 2011. His service experiences include the Head of Training Facility 3rd Fighter Wing of Iswahjudi AFB, Subdepartment Head of Electronic System IDAFA, Subdirectorat Head for Managemen Examination Directorate of Examination IDAFA, the Staff of Research and Development of Staff for Planning and Budgeting of the Indonesian Air Force at IDAF Headquarters. He joined with Indonesian Defense University (IDU) in 2013 as a Principal Lecturer in the Asymmetric Warfare Study Program of the Faculty of Defense Strategy and became Assistant Professor on Asymmetric Warfare in 2014. He was then promoted to become Policy Analyst for Economics Contingency Plan, the Deputy of Politics and Strategy, National Resilience Council (NRC). In 2015, he was part of the Expert Staff of the Desk for National Information Resilience and Security, and then in 2016, he was part of the Division Head of Information Resilience of the National Cyberspace Desk. The two Desks were under the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs. One task of the Desk was to prepare the formation of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN). Colonel Dr. Arwin Sumari\'s research interests are Cognitive Artificial Intelligence, multiagent-based systems, cyberspace operations, social media operations, and military decision-making systems. He has been the Team Leader of the Cognitive Artificial Intelligence Research Group (CAIRG) since 2019. He has written more than 315 technical papers published in international and national books, journals, and proceedings as well as technical magazines and presentations. One of his books was authored together with Prof. Dr. Ir. Adang Suwandi Ahmad, DEA, IPU and was used as a lecture course textbook at the School of Command and Staff of the Indonesian Armed Force in 2007. They also wrote a book entitled \'Integrated Information Inferencing System for Integrated Information System\' in 2008, published by the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, ITB. He holds eight registered patents and 17 granted copyrights among which is the one related to Cognitive Countermeasure against cyberattack. In 2019, Colonel Dr. Arwin Sumari joined Asosiasi Prakarsa Indonesia Cerdas (APIC) where together with his colleagues, he initiated the formation of the Indonesia Artificial Intelligence Society (IAIS). He is also a member of the Indonesia Cyber Security Forum (ICSF) and The Institute of Indonesia Engineers (PII). Since 2019, he has been assigned as Senior Electrical Engineer Officer at the Air Force Base-Abdulrachman, 2nd Air Operation Command, Indonesia Air Force while performing his special duty as Adjunct Professor at Master of Applied Electrical Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Politeknik Negeri Malang, Indonesia.
