About the book

The main objective of this book is to create awareness about the major role of Artificial Intelligence controller for Microgrid and its applications. In past years the conventional controllers have been used for microgrid application and have been facing many issues in system stability as well as reliability. This book will mainly concentrate on modelling and designing of various Artificial Intelligence (ANN, Fuzzy, ANFIS, GA, PSO, Deep Learning and Firefly algorithms) for renewable energy application and microgrid integration application. The following major topics will be discussed:
1. AI based MPPT controller design for Renewable Energy sources
2. AI based Energy management system for microgrid
3. AI based Power quality improvement for microgrid
4. AI based Smart inverters

Applications to edit the book are assessed and a suitable editor is selected, at which point the process begins.

Full chapter manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and undergo a Main Editor Peer Review. Results are sent to authors within 30 days of submission, with suggestions for rounds of revisions.

Book compiled, published and promoted

Expected publication date: August 2nd 2019

All chapters are copy-checked and typesetted before being published. IntechOpen regularly submits its books to major databases for evaluation and coverage, including the Clarivate Analytics Book Citation Index in the Web of ScienceTM Core Collection. Other discipline-specific databases are also targeted, such as Web of Science's BIOSIS Previews.

Venkateshkumar, an Electrical Engineer by education is currently in service Member of R&D and Education committee in IEEE Smart Cities USA, IEEE P 825 Standard Workgroup Member – USA, Chief Advisor and R&D division in Roslite Energy and Technology, Pvt Ltd, Chennai & Associate Professor, Dept of EEE, AVIT, Chennai. He has 10 years teaching experience and is an active, enthusiastic, flexible team player. He volunteers at IEEE and is currently holding office as the Chairman, IEEE Young Professional, Vice Chairman, Power and Energy Society, Chairman IEEE SIGHT and Execom Member - IEEE Madras Section 2018-2019. He has published technical papers more than 60 International Journal and International conferences. He published 3 chapters in international publications ( Elsevier, IntechOpen). He received international copyright for his 53 research projects from MATLAB. Review board member more than 40 International conferences and international journals. He received in 2015 and 2016 outstanding contribution Award from MATLAB, U.S.A. His current research interest includes Grid integration of hybrid renewable energy sources. Introducing your Author Service Manager

As an Author Service Manager my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
