About the book

An authentic digital transformation involves the adoption of three main elements: culture, processes, and technology. Digital transformation is more than just a project. In other words, digital transformation is the organizational change at the foundation of digital business transformation. This is because changing the nature of an organization means changing the way people work and live, challenging their way of thinking, daily work processes, and the strategies they rely on. However, it is necessary to promote a digital transformation that can guarantee overall progress also in terms of sustainability. Digitalization and sustainability are two intrinsically linked elements. Two elements that must become an integral part of the organization itself enabling a company/organization/society to become more efficient, data-driven and agile, leveraging more business and environmental opportunities. While this may seem simple, digital transformation can be a complex process. What are the challenges and opportunities for achieving digital and sustainable sovereignty? Thus, the aim of the book is to provide a clear presentation of the concepts, tools, technologies and applications of the field of digital transformation. The book aims to take a global and strategic vision to such an important and current issue.
