This book aims to cover new trends in all topics related to adsorption of Noble Gases such as adsorption of Noble Gases on solid surfaces (Graphite, Zeolite, Silica, and Titanium Oxide), Noble Gas Adsorption in metal-organic frameworks , computational investigation of Noble Gas Adsorption at different conditions , Separation Noble Gas Adsorption by nanoporous materials , understanding the adsorption mechanism of noble gases at different conditions , pressure , temperature , development of nanocomposite materials to capture radioactive noble gases ( 220Rn , 85Kr and 133Xe from spent fuel ) , adsorption of Noble Gases on organic materials (shale, kerogens, sedimentary). This publication aims at providing a thorough overview of the latest research efforts by international authors on adsorption of Noble Gases and opens new possible research paths for further novel developments.

Full chapter manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and undergo a Main Editor Peer Review. Results are sent to authors within 30 days of submission, with suggestions for rounds of revisions.

Book compiled, published and promoted

Expected publication date: January 6th 2020

All chapters are copy-checked and typesetted before being published. IntechOpen regularly submits its books to major databases for evaluation and coverage, including the Clarivate Analytics Book Citation Index in the Web of ScienceTM Core Collection. Other discipline-specific databases are also targeted, such as Web of Science's BIOSIS Previews.

Dr. Nasser Awwad has a Ph.D. in Inorganic and Radiochemistry 2000 from Ain Shams University, and a Postdoctorate at Sandia National Labs, New Mexico, USA, 2004. Nasser Awwad was Associate Professor of Radiochemistry in 2006 and Professor of Inorganic and Radiochemistry in 2011 at the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority. He has been a professor at King Khalid University (KKU), Abha, KSA, since 2011. He has published two chapters in the following books: Natural Gas—Extraction to End Use and Advances in Petrochemicals. He is the editor of five books on uranium, new trends in nuclear sciences, dyes in industry, lanthanides and Gas chromatography and its applications; in addition, he has published 54 papers in ISI journals. He has supervised four Ph.D. and 16 MSc students in the field of radioactive and wastewater treatment. He has participated in 25 international conferences in South Korea, the USA, Lebanon, KSA, and Egypt. Dr. Awwad has participated in six big projects with KACST at KSA and Sandia National Labs in the USA about the conditioning of radioactive sealed sources and wastewater treatment. He is the leader of a research group looking into the utilization of nanomaterials for the treatment of inorganic and organic pollutants and a member of a research group studying the influence of d- and f-block element interactions with drugs on its bioactivities. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, Arab Society of Forensic Sciences and Forensic Medicine and a member of the Egyptian Society for Nuclear Sciences and its Applications. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Energy and Environmental Research and Technology. He is also a member of the organizing committee of the 9th World Congress & Expo on Nanotechnology & Material Science, a rapporteur of the Permanent Committee for Nuclear and Radiological Protection at KKU, and a member of the Committee for the Development of International Cooperation Management at KKU. He is interested in utilizing the different techniques related to adsorption of heavy metals via theses and research groups of publications.

Introducing your Author Service Manager

As an Author Service Manager my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
