About the book

Body contouring procedures have become one of the most common procedures performed worldwide in aesthetic medicine. This book will aim to provide the reader with a comprehensive overview of the main surgical and non-surgical procedures in this matter, ranging from breast surgery, liposuction, tummy tuck, and the current trends in non-invasive procedures, discussing the most important evidence-based methods of treatment available worldwide today, and take a deep look into the future and what new advances have been made and are under development in recent years in this passionate field. Finally, we decided to include a chapter regarding safety in body contouring surgery because, as some of these procedures may seem easy to perform, some underprepared physicians have caused serious injuries and even deaths, mainly in developing countries. There are years of study behind each physician, and our patients deserve to receive the best treatment each of us can give them.
