Since the new principle of Gabor on the spherical aberration correction in an electron microscope that was used with the optical laser beams, holography has proven an extremely attractive area of research and has contributed to a plethora of innovative applications in different fields.
For this reason, it is impossible to report all the kaleidoscopic aspects of the holography in a single book. So, this book aims to provide the reader an overview of the current state of development and potentiality of holography in “hot applications areas”, such as biomedical diagnostics, energy efficiency, environment pollution and contamination, security, data storage, 3D metrology.
