About the book

This book aims to discuss the “Osmotically Driven Membrane Processes” and provides a broad overview of membrane processes for researchers from either an engineering science or chemistry background, starting at a more elementary level, incorporating more advanced concepts. As a comprehensive book, it aims to give a broad view of the subject and integrate a wide variety of approaches. The topics aim to cover membrane systems and separation processes, recent trends in membranes and membrane processes while the rest welcome are: Osmotically driven membrane applications, membrane fouling and cleaning, and advancements in osmotically driven membrane systems. By bringing together experts in multiple subdisciplines of chemistry and engineer, the editors will aim to combine in one center for an introduction to the discipline.

This book will promote a novel, clean approach for all disciplines for a sustainable planet. Researchers will gain a new outlook on chemistry and engineering. As a result, researchers learn how to design osmotically driven membranes and processes that are sustainable and environmentally friendly. Researchers will also come to understand that membrane processes are very important for sustainability, at the same time, with the application of green principles, chemistry is the means to a sustainable and clean planet. Finally, open new possible research paths for further novel developments.

Introducing your Author Service Manager

Ms. Sandra Maljavac

As an Author Service Manager my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
