About the book
The purpose of writing a book on chemical kinetics is to provide insight on different aspects of chemical reactions, both at bulk and nano scale. The scope of this book covers topics from basic to advanced level, so that scholars can get maximum benefits of teaching and research in the area of chemical kinetics. Accordingly, the authors are encouraged to write chapters on teaching and research based on chemical kinetics.
The book will also focus on, but is not limited to, the following topics: the rates and order of reactions, experimental techniques for rate determination and methods for determination of the order of reaction, Maxwell distribution of molecular speeds, binary collisions, free paths, statistical probability and entropy, kinetics of the complex reactions, reversible, parallel, and consecutive bimolecular reactions, Lindemann’s theory of unimolecular reactions, bimolecular collision theory, transition state theory, influence of ionic strength and dielectric constant on the reaction rate, single sphere activated complex model, double sphere activated complex model, chain reactions, homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, nanocatalysts etc.
