About the book

The book "Corrosion" aims to meet the long-awaited demands in the field of corrosion. Corrosion is part and parcel of life in the global world today. We use different forms of metals for different applications in our daily lives. And if a metal is there, corrosion will take place by its reaction with the current environment. To this date, we do not have an effective method to completely stop corrosion. All the available methods can mitigate, delay the corrosion process, but cannot fully stop it. So, to achieve the complete stoppage of corrosion research is being carried out worldwide with a determination to find a remedy. This book welcomes current research in various fields. The book aims to help students, academicians and industrialists to find the basics and updated information in the field of corrosion. This book intends to provide the reader with a comprehensive overview of the current state-of-the-art in patient safety, featuring an easy-to-follow, vignette-based format that focuses on the most important evidence-based developments in this critically important area.

Potential authors submit chapter proposals ready for review by the academic editor and our publishing review team.

Approved chapters written in full and submitted

Deadline for full chapters: April 13th 2020

Once approved by the academic editor and publishing review team, chapters are written and submitted according to pre-agreed parameters

Full chapters peer reviewed

Review results due: July 2nd 2020

Full chapter manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and undergo a Main Editor Peer Review. Results are sent to authors within 30 days of submission, with suggestions for rounds of revisions.

Book compiled, published and promoted

Expected publication date: August 31st 2020

All chapters are copy-checked and typesetted before being published. IntechOpen regularly submits its books to major databases for evaluation and coverage, including the Clarivate Analytics Book Citation Index in the Web of ScienceTM Core Collection. Other discipline-specific databases are also targeted, such as Web of Science's BIOSIS Previews.

Dr. Ambrish Singh is a Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Southwest Petroleum University, Xindu District, Chengdu city, Sichuan province, China. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry at V.B.S. Purvanchal University in 2011. Dr. Singh received many awards among them: 2017 - Sichuan 1000 Talent Award by Sichuan Government, 2015 - Best Researcher Award, Lovely Professional University. Research Interests: Testing various extracts and natural compounds as Corrosion inhibitors. Corrosion prevention techniques and phenomenon. Computational Chemistry, Electrochemical, Micro-electrochemical measurements and Isolation of compounds. Working on Potentiostat/Galvanostat with EIS software. Surface analyses using SEM, AFM, XPS, UV-Visible, Contact Angle, and XRD. Use of SECM, SKP, SVET and LEIS is also being included as his field of choice. He has been to many International and National conferences and has delivered several invited lectures.
