About the book

Since the 'neuropathies' define a vast group of theoretical subjects, we do not want this book to become a textbook first of all, due to the fact there are many books written as textbooks on this topic. Instead we ask the authors to write about their own experiences, cases and studies about neuropathies, and we will of course prefer: recent research material, recent cases, or case series from them.

The aim of our book project is to contain interesting and popular scientific research supported by scientifically valid references. In this context the book will contain the most recent knowledge about neuropathies in general.

The topics for the book have been summarized, but we will also accept new and other brilliant ideas from the potential authors. We plan to give special importance and priority to the chapters about neuropathic pain. The main reason of this lies in the belief that this condition is still not known thoroughly by many clinicians and thus underdiagnosed or not treated properly.

New ideas as well as current knowledge will be welcomed in this book. We sincerely hope there will be valuable contributions to this project from many valuable authors."

Introducing your Author Service Manager

Mrs. Ketrin Polesak

As an Author Service Manager my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
