About the book
The use of thermal energy by recovery from other sources is currently a wide field of study in which heat exchangers are the most critical equipment employed. These devices are also used in many other industrial, laboratory, and even household processes. That is why it is still relevant for the correct selection, design, and maintenance of this equipment to be essential for the proper use of energy in the processes mentioned above.
The present book aims to include a concise review of topics involving some advances in applying heat exchangers. Besides novel proposes for working fluids, such as organic substances of low enthalpy, other encouraged subjects are the novel application of heat exchangers in addition to usual purposes, manufacturing materials, geometry optimization, and a relevant maintenance matter: avoiding fouling. This book aims to divulge these subjects and become a valuable tool for academics and postgraduate students in supporting their research.
