About the book
It is known that the need for nutrition, which is the most important of the basic needs of human beings, will be one of the five big problems that our world will face in the next century. This problem arises as food insufficiency is present in developing countries, and unbalanced nutrition is present in developed countries.
Although lands and waters are the two main sources for meeting the food need in our world, the importance of water, that is, fishery products is increasing day by day compared to the land. Factors such as the increase in the human population, the up-to-dateness of conscious nutrition, the limited increase in land animal production, the high biological value and protein content of fishery products affect and accelerate this increase.
In this context, each of the aquaculture components will be examined individually. In this book, we hope to gather new information in a large interval f.e. from the biology of the catfish, and its importance in the ecosystem from its production to its marketing.
