About the book
Currently, in the actual world, living species are inevitably exposed to many chemical, physical and biological agents. However, these agents frequently exhibit unexpected consequences on living organisms. The understanding of how these agents can cause genetic alterations into DNA and what is their role in the different biological systems continues to be an area of intense interest at different sectors like health, disease, pharmaceutical, environment, industry, agriculture, food, among others. Organisms are continuously exposed to heterogeneous xenobiotics released into different habitats, either deliberately, inadvertently, or by non regulated industrial discharges. We challenge to compile information from different aspect highlighting the detrimental influence that mutagenic, carcinogenic and genotoxic agents inflicting into DNA.
