About the book

This book presents research developments in the field of kinematics, mainly applications to different areas in robotics: different configurations and robots such as manipulators, mobiles, autonomous walkers, unmanned, drones among others. The book also includes research related to kinematics in the area of machine learning and deep learning in current applications of intelligent systems that help the development of new systems. Application to different optimization paradigms is presented such as kinematic control, fuzzy systems neural networks, genetic algorithms, navigation systems, trajectory and movement optimization, theoretical development, direct kinematics systems, reverse kinematics system, redundant systems, nonholonomic constraint systems, application development, all recent kinematics research are presented.

Several emerging technologies and developments different groups from universities, research and development centers, independent researchers are presented, which provide a comprehensive view of the current status and future trends of kinematics and its applications.

All the investigations related to the cinematic processes as well as the new technologies that help the growth and development of that area are received.

Approved chapters written in full and submitted

Deadline for full chapters: December 17th 2019

Once approved by the academic editor and publishing review team, chapters are written and submitted according to pre-agreed parameters

Full chapters peer reviewed

Review results due: March 6th 2020

Full chapter manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and undergo a Main Editor Peer Review. Results are sent to authors within 30 days of submission, with suggestions for rounds of revisions.

Book compiled, published and promoted

Expected publication date: May 5th 2020

All chapters are copy-checked and typesetted before being published. IntechOpen regularly submits its books to major databases for evaluation and coverage, including the Clarivate Analytics Book Citation Index in the Web of ScienceTM Core Collection. Other discipline-specific databases are also targeted, such as Web of Science's BIOSIS Previews.

Efren Gorrostieta Hurtado

Autonomous University of Queretaro

Dr. Eng Efren Gorrostieta is a Professor at the Engineering Faculty of the Autonomous University of Queretaro, Mexico. He studied Electronics Engineering, received a master of Science in Control and Automation and a PhD in Mechatronics. He was a co-founder of the Mechatronics Mexican Association, President of the IEEE Querétaro Section and the Chair of the IEEE Queretaro Computational Intelligence Chapter; he has given lectures in Control Systems and Robotics at different universities and has been a chair, reviewer and editor in several national/international congresses related to robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence. He has several publications in conferences and journals in the field.
